The Cascade 4 borrows much of its technology from the highly popular Polygon. Premier series from last year and delivers a truly capable all rounder . whether you want to explore your local parks and trails or use as a reliable commuter around town.
Utilizing a new lighter frame, the Cascade 4 is now one of the lightest mountain bikes in its category on the market. Polygon combines an aluminum frame with reliable and durable components, making the Cascade 4 the clear bike of choice compared to other brands in the same price point.
With the 27.5‘ wheels, the bike is not only an efficient commuter but can comfortably handle itself on mountain bike tracks and the front Suntour XCE fork validates the claim.
The rear Shimano Tourney rear derailleur has been improved for this year, now capable of handling the 8-Speed cassette. This is then combined with the Shimano Altus front derailleur to give a total of 24 gears, enough to tackle any kind of terrain.
Mountain bike maintenance tips
The biggest upgrade for this year is hydraulic disc brakes from Alhonga. Having disc brakes on a mountain bikes makes a world of a difference especially when you’re riding in wet weather and need reliable braking performance. Hydraulic system multiplies the effort put in at the lever so the actual braking force is greater than the force applied by you. This is why hydraulic brakes on bikes give such excellent performance for comparatively little effort, you get so much feel at the lever, and can modulate your braking far more effectively. In practice, the lever feels so light that you can basically brake using your little finger, and you have far more control over how much braking force you want to apply.
Should you need it there are rack mounts on the frame for rear baby seats or pannier racks.
Finally, to keep you connected to the ground at all times the bike comes with stainless steel spokes laced onto 27.5′ double wall alloy rims – adding massive doses of strength to the wheelset.
While the Cascade 4 is priced very competitively, be reassured it is our unique business model that allows us to bring quality, durable bikes to the market at the best prices.
