Polygon is well known for manufacturing not only their own brand but also producing bikes for a multitude of other brands. In doing so they are able to draw on all the best concepts and technologies and put them into their own Polygon range.
Polygon upgraded the Premier 5 frame to a lighter hydroformed Alutech Sport XC frame, also used in last year’s higher-spec Xtrada models. A new curved and hydroformed aluminum top tube reduces weight and gives the bike a more refined presence. The design team now routes the gear cables inside the frame and features end-to-end outer cables, enhancing the Premier frame‘s visual appeal and dramatically reducing servicing time by protecting the gear cables from the elements. Additionally, the frame features rack mounts which allow you to easily attach racks or a baby seat.

The Suntour XCM fork features oversized stanchions and 120mm of damped travel. When the trail or road smooths out, there is also a new Hydraulic Speed Lockout lever to stop the fork from compressing and ensures the bike can also perform as an efficient commuter.
Beautifully balancing performance and durability, the Polygon Premier 5 uses a Shimano Acera drivetrain to deliver 2×9-Speed, capable of tackling even the steepest of hills. A direct mount derailleur provides added strength protecting the derailleur from bending if hit by a rock or stump on the trail. Upgraded Tektro Hydraulic disc brakes provide industry-leading braking power, especially in wet and muddy conditions. Completing this bike, the Premier 5 rolls on a set of alloy double wall rims with premium branded Shimano alloy hubs.
It’s this combination of all of these durable components that ensure the bike remains a true performer for years to come, whether it’s on rough trails, or for those trips down to park or beach.
