The Rift Zone has a Series 3 6061 butted and hydroformed aluminum frame with 120mm travel MultiTrac suspension technology and playful 27.5″ wheels. 27.5″ wheels fit most riders better and create a lightweight and responsive bike, the most playful trail bike in the line.
MULTITRACK SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY
MultiTrac is an acclaimed suspension system, fine-tuned to have a balanced ride capable of absorbing big hits with an efficient pedaling platform. The rocker link provides a progressive leverage ratio for the rear shock for small bump sensitivity and the feeling of a long travel system on large drops and rocks.
INTERNAL ROUTING
Rift Zone models are compatible with internally routed dropper posts, with internal rear derailleur routing for a clean look and snag-free ride.
148X12MM THRU-AXLE
Boost front spacing is paired with a 148x12mm Boost rear thru-axle on the Rift Zone 3 and Rift Zone 2 for frame and wheel strength, and future wheel upgrade compatibility.

The overall most playful bike in the Marin lineup, the Rift Zone is an all-around trail bike designed to hook newcomers to the sport and bring veteran riders into modern full suspension trail performance.
The Rift Zone is built around a Series 3, 6061 butted and hydroformed aluminum frame with 120mm of Multi-Trac suspension. Marin’s proprietary Multi-Trac suspension system has been fine-tuned through years of riding and testing to have a balanced ride capable of absorbing big hits while having an efficient pedaling platform. The rocker link provides a progressive leverage ratio for the rear shock for small bump sensitivity and the feeling of a long travel system on large drops and rocks. The bike comes with a modern trail geometry with short chainstays, a low bottom bracket, a long top tube, and a slack head angle. The bike is compatible with internally routed dropper posts, with internal rear derailleur routing for a clean look and snag-free ride.
It comes equipped with a neat and simple 1×12 Shimano drivetrain with a massive 51T cassette, further improving bike performance and reducing chain slap on rougher trails.
Taking care of suspension duties is a 130mm Marzocchi Bomber Z2 front air fork paired with the Fox Float DPS rear shock. The bike rolls on a pair of wide 29mm rim Marin tubeless compatible wheels and Maxxis Assegai tires with a nice and wide 2.5″ width giving you loads of traction for climbs and hitting the berms.
Rounding off the Rift Zone 3 is a lightweight Marin alloy cockpit and Shimano MT420 4 Piston Hydraulic Disc Brakes.
